How clinicians use it

A clinician screening calculator for the GAD-7, a 7-item self-report measure that rates anxiety symptoms over the past two weeks. Scores map to minimal through severe ranges and support initial screening plus severity tracking. A score of 8 or greater is a common cut-point for further diagnostic assessment. Also performs reasonably as a screen for panic, social anxiety, and PTSD, but is not a stand-alone diagnosis. Final diagnosis requires clinical interview.
